Prophetic Word: “For Such a Time as This!”
“If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?” – Esther 4:14 NLT
This was the word of the Lord spoken to me on April 14, 2024, around 1:00am. I was spending time with my Father in worship and prayer prior to going to bed, when God highlighted the date 4/14/2024. I immediately heard Esther 4:14 – “…Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for such a time as this?”
As the Spirit of the Lord was speaking to me, I realized that this word was not just specific to me but to the Esthers that God is raising up in this season. As the Lord began to speak to me specifically about my calling and purpose, I heard Him say, “It’s time for the Esthers to ARISE!” No longer will we be hidden in the back, silent with locked lips. NO! God is calling us to go forth to the forefront, in boldness and courage to deliver nations out of bondage with the authority and power He has endowed upon us. In Hebrew, nations represent a whole nation or a people group – this means that for some of us, God has called us to specific people and for others, to nations to help deliver them out of bondage.
For those not familiar with the book of Esther, I’ll give you a brief synopsis, but I recommend that you take 30 minutes to an hour to read the entire book to gain a more thorough understanding for yourself. In Esther Chapter 4, Mordecai (Esther’s cousin) had shared with her how Haman, the King’s right-hand man, persuaded the King to invoke a decree to destroy the Jews (her people). Haman himself made a vow to pay into the royal treasury for the destruction of the Jews. This decree was signed and sealed with the King’s signet ring, which meant that unless a miracle took place, that decree was irrevocable.
The ball was in Esther’s court. She was loved and favoured by the King and had the opportunity to have this decree revoked by the grace of God. She had kept her identity hidden from the King, meaning that her husband was not aware that she was a Jew. Also, at the time that this was revealed to her, the King had not seen her in about a month. Initially, when she received this message from Mordecai, she hesitated, “Then Esther told Hathach to go back and relay this message to Mordecai: “All the king’s officials and even the people in the provinces know that anyone who appears before the king in his inner court without being invited is doomed to die unless the king holds out his gold scepter. And the king has not called for me to come to him for thirty days” – Esther 4:10-11 NLT
Esther was put in a life-or-death situation that required boldness and courage. I hear the Spirit of the Lord saying that the Esthers arising in this season will come forth with boldness and power knowing that He (God) is with us. Because of our trust in Him by way of relationship and intimacy, we will NOT be afraid of what might come when we obey God because His favour is with us wherever we go.
Esther had a tough decision to make, it was either she would play it safe and stay quiet or take boldness and do the right thing. This is why Mordecai provided the following response, “Mordecai sent this reply to Esther: “Don’t think for a moment that because you’re in the palace you will escape when all other Jews are killed. If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?” – Esther 4:13-14 NLT.
God is doing a new thing in the earth. He is raising up women who will walk in dignity, grace, meekness, humility and who will still have POWER! We are ones who will embrace our femininity and will have the wisdom to use the resources that God has given us to our advantage and to the glory of God. He is not raising up feminists, but those who will honour male leadership and have the influence and affluence to invoke change.
Esther made the decision to obey God and if she died, she was willing to take that risk. This is the spirit of boldness that God is placing upon the Esthers where we are not concerned with the potential of death when obeying God – we are sold out for Jesus and 100 percent locked in. She took charge and commanded all the Jews to go on a 3-day dry fast with her as she sought to obtain strategy from God. The Lord is saying that He is releasing divine strategies from heaven upon the Esthers in this season. The strategies released will set us apart and will cause us to do great exploits in the nations. We will do great exploits along side our Kings, the ones that God has set aside for us.
When Esther approached the King, he extended his golden scepter and granted her the opportunity to come into his chambers; therefore, her life was spared, and favour granted. When you read the other chapters, you will find that Esther was able to influence the King to revoke that demonic decree initiated by Haman, using the divine strategies from God in her approach, which ended up spearing the lives of all the Jews from destruction.
It is time for us Esthers to ARISE. We cannot afford to shrink back and stay silent. There are nations and people groups depending on us. Be encouraged knowing that God is backing you. He will never leave you or forsake you. I just want to prophesy this over you, now is the time to walk in the fullness of who God called you to be! You have been called for such a time as this. No longer will you shrink back. God is putting power in your mouth and is releasing a supernatural boldness that will burst forth out of you. When this happens, people who knew the old you might not recognize the new you, but that is ok. If this word is for you, receive it, accept the call and go forth shining for His glory. In Jesus name, amen!
I pray that this made your spirit leap and served as an encouragement and confirmation. As with all prophetic words, please take it back to the Lord to confirm that it’s actually for you. Be blessed!
